Engine 1 is a 1996 KME Type IIA Engine, with a top mounted midship pump panel, 750 gallon tank, 1500 gpm capability, and a Hale QSG 125 Pump. The transmission is by Allision, MD3060P. The truck seats 4. Some of the unique features are that the deck gun can be converted to a ground monitor if needed. Also, under the main hose bed is a compartment, accessed from the rear, where the ladders (24' extension, 12' roof ) and 3, 10' sections of hard suction hose. Thus, giving it the clean sleek look. There is another compartment, also accessed by the rear, where a 10' & 6' pike pole, and a 10' attic ladder are stored.
