Moutain Rescue

Every 4th of July the station is manned around the clock.  With such a large number of visitors in town, response time for the volunteers is long, and the main city streets are blocked from traffic.  During the 2000 Mt. Marathon Race, our Mtn. Rescue team responded for a fallen racer with a possible broken ankle.  The Willy Jeep can make it up a good portion of the moutain, and then it's a hard climb from there.  The Jeep's designed to hold the patient on the roof rack.  The crew on the rear wear climbing harnesses and are clipped into a bar on the roof rack.
