Seward Volunteer Fire Department Old Rescue

Old Rescue 1 was a 1983 Chevy High Cube Van. It was designed to be a walk in, with wooden cubicles for bunker gear storage, and other gear storage. The bench seats were designed so that the bench could be lifted, like a lid, thus allowing more storage. There were many stories from the old timers about getting dressed in the back on the way to a call. Rescue 1 was transferred to Public Works after being replaced by the new 2010 Spencer Rescue 1.
