Seward Volunteer Fire Department Squad 1

Old Squad 1 was a previous city electric truck that the volunteers obtained, sanded and painted into a squad truck. Squad had a sked unit pump with 250 gallon water tank. The truck was utilized at several calls, including one where it was used to draft from the bay. Because of the feel and look of the truck, many members lovingly called it Squad 51. Squad 1 was sold at surplus in 2010 when it was replaced by the 2010 Spencer Rescue truck.
